Important Conference Registration Information

As our 30th Anniversary Conference is fast approaching, we wanted to remind those of you planning to attend of a few important things:


 


1)      If you have registered for the conference, you should have received a confirmation e-mail last week.  Please read it carefully and send any necessary changes on to the Fulbright Association at fulbright@fulbright.org or call (202) 347-5543 by Thursday, Oct. 25.

2007 Selma Jeanne Cohen Lecturer Announced
The Fulbright Association announced today that Ron Jenkins (Indonesia 2007), professor of theater at Wesleyan University, will present the 2007 Selma Jeanne Cohen Lecture in International Dance Scholarship on Saturday, Nov. 3, at The Madison Hotel in Washington, D.C.  Dr. Jenkins will speak on "Sacred Dance and Secular Law in Bali."

Current Conference Registration Rates - Now Includes Single-Day Rates!
Don't forget that the Fulbright Association is continuing to take registrations for our 30th Anniversary Conference:  People & the Planet!  The member registration rate is now $295.  Currently enrolled students may register at the student rate of $130.  Non-member alumni are invited to register at the non-member rate of $355.  Daily registration rates for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday are also available.

REMINDER: Submit Your Poster Session Proposals!
This is a quick reminder that the Fulbright Association continues to accept proposals for the poster session being held on Sunday, Nov. 4, at the Fulbright Association 30th Anniversary Conference:   People & The Planet.


So far, we've received some great proposals in fields as diverse as environmental science, marine biology, cultural anthropology, education, dance, art, and journalism.

Fall Airfare Sales at JetBlue, Delta, and United

Several carriers are holding fall airfare sales right now - perfect for purchasing your plane tickets to and from our 30th Anniversary Conference in November!

Two of these deals end this week:

You only have ten days left to enjoy the discounted early bird conference registration rate of $275, so please act now!  Please register today for the Fulbright Association 30th Anniversary Conference:  People and the Planet, to be held November 1 through 4 at The Madison, A Loews Hotel, in Washington, D.C.  The early bird rate includes conference special events, meals, transportation, sessions, and materials.
